Join us for a quarterly luncheon featuring Thomas M. (Tim) Belk, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Belk, Inc., who will discuss the company’s entrance to the D/FW market, history of this still-family owned company, and his plans for future growth and expansion of the company.
Belk, one of the newest additions to the Dallas region, currently operates 300 stores in 16 states and is the nation's largest privately-held department store. Henry Belk opened the first Belk store in 1888 in Monroe, NC. Celebrating 125 years in 2013, the company continues to be operated by the Belk family and is opening it's second D/FW store at the Galleria in April.
Distinguishing itself as "Modern. Southern. Style.," Belk continues to be a staple in the Southern markets of the United States. Join us for a look at the future plans for Dallas, the country and beyond.

The Board of Advisors membership level provides members annually invested at a dues level of $5,000 or more an opportunity to actively participate in the Chamber’s strategic initiatives, achieve high-level engagement with senior business leaders, and gain greater visibility among the general membership. This membership level includes one leadership position reserved for the member’s top executive in the region to represent the organization within this program.
